Description
The Portwest S779 Bizflame Rain Hi-Vis Contrast FR jacket is a waterproof, breathable multi-standard jacket that protects against several hazards: wetness and wind, brief flame contact, electrostatic charging, and light splashes of liquid chemicals. With its removable flame-retardant fleece lining, it can be worn in all weather conditions. For full protection, it should be worn with the matching trousers.
The Bizflame Rain HV outer fabric is made of 98% polyester and 2% carbon fibre with a breathable PU coating and weighs 250 g/m². It is flame-retardant, waterproof, and wicks moisture away from the body; sealed seams prevent water penetration. Inside, a flame-retardant 100% cotton lining (170 g/m²) and the removable flame-retardant fleece lining (350 g/m²) provide warmth and comfort. The Texpel finish makes the surface dirt- and stain-resistant.
As Category III PPE, the jacket is CE certified and meets EN ISO 14116 Index 3 for limited flame spread, EN 1149-5 for electrostatic properties, EN 13034 Type 6 against light splashes of liquid chemicals, and EN 343 Class 3:3 X for protection against rain. Fluorescent fabric and high-quality sewn-on flame-retardant reflective tape ensure visibility according to EN ISO 20471 Class 3; the fluorescent orange/navy version also complies with the RIS 3279 TOM Edition 2 standard for the railway industry.
A two-way zip, interactive zip, concealed removable hood, adjustable hem cord, and radio loops make the jacket practical for everyday use. Five pockets, including an inside pocket and a concealed mobile phone pocket, provide storage; the company logo can be easily applied via the decoration access. The jacket is available in fluorescent yellow/navy (sizes XS to 4XL) and fluorescent orange/navy (S to 3XL). Wash at a maximum of 40°C on a delicate cycle and dry on a line; do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, and do not dry clean. This makes the Portwest S779 the right choice for anyone working in wind and weather who needs visibility and multi-hazard protection.
