PW3 Modaflame Knit HVO FR Sweatshirt Class 1

The Portwest PW3 Modaflame Hi-Vis FR737 Sweatshirt Class 1 is a robust, flame-resistant high-visibility top for professionals in industry, construction, utility services, and other work environments where thermal risks are present. The outer fabric consists of high-quality Modaflame™ Knit HVO with 45% modacrylic, 25% polyester, 23% cotton, 6% aramid, and 1% antistatic fiber (300g/m²), which has a permanently inherent flame-resistant property that does not diminish with washing. Contrast areas consist of Modaflame Knit (60% modacrylic, 39% cotton, 1% carbon fiber) for additional strength and comfort. The sweatshirt provides reliable protection against radiant, convective, and contact heat and is antistatic as well as non-magnetic – nickel and iron-free. It is CE certified (CE-CAT III) and suitable for wear in ATEX environments.

Comfort and ease of wear characterize this sweatshirt: ribbed cuffs at the neck, sleeves, and hem ensure warmth and freedom of movement, while the fully elasticated waistband ensures a secure, comfortable fit. The material offers excellent color fastness and low shrinkage results. Heat-resistant, flame-retardant reflective tape increases visibility according to EN ISO 20471 Class 1 and offers additional protection in low-light conditions. The high cotton content provides a comfortable feel, and the 40+ UPF-rated fabric blocks up to 98% of UV rays.

The protective effect of the FR737 is evidenced by several standards: EN ISO 11612 (A1, B1, C1, F1) for flame protection, EN 1149-5 for antistatic properties, IEC 61482-2 / IEC 61482-1-1 (ELIM 8 cal/cm², ATPV 8.9 cal/cm²) as well as IEC 61482-1-2 (APC 1) for electric arc protection, and EN ISO 20471 Class 1 for high-visibility protection. The sweatshirt is available in the classic Hi-Vis Orange/Black color combination and covers a size range from S to 3XL – an ideal solution for anyone wanting to combine high wearing comfort with certified protective performance.
