3M 501 Filter Retainer

The 3M™ Filter Retainer 501 is a practical accessory for 3M™ reusable respirators that allows for the flexible combination of different filter types. With this filter retainer, 3M™ 5000 Series particulate filters can be connected to suitable 3M™ gas and vapor filters. This allows an existing gas and vapor protection setup to be supplemented with appropriate particulate protection, adapting it individually to the specific hazards at the workplace.

The filter retainer was specially developed for the 3M™ reusable respirator system and is characterized by its uncomplicated handling. It can be attached quickly and easily, and removed when a filter change is necessary. The combination option allows users to configure their respiratory protection system for work areas where exposure to gases, vapors, and particles may occur simultaneously. The filter retainer is used, among other things, with suitable 3M™ 5000 Series particulate filters, such as the 5925 P2 R and 5935 P3 R models.

The 3M™ Filter Retainer 501 is suitable for professional applications in trades, industry, maintenance, and other work areas where modular respiratory protection solutions are required. As an accessory, the filter retainer itself does not have an independent filter or protection class. The actual protective effect and the applicable standards depend on the combination of respirator and filters used. Before use, the suitability of the entire respiratory protection combination for the hazardous substances present must therefore always be checked.
