3M 6055 A2 Gas Filter

The 3M Gas Filter A2 6055 is a high-quality respiratory protection filter for gases and vapors that offers reliable protection against organic gases and vapors with a boiling point above 65 °C – for example, when working with solvent-based paints, varnishes, adhesives, or cleaning agents. It is certified according to EN 14387 and is securely mounted via a bayonet-click connection to reusable 3M respirators in the 6000, 6500QL, and 7500 series, as well as certain full-face masks.

The filter's flat, swept-back design ensures an optimized field of view and a balanced weight distribution, which improves visibility and wearer comfort. The activated carbon filter technology effectively absorbs gaseous pollutants, while the low weight and low breathing resistance make working over long periods easier. If required, the A2 6055 can be mounted in combination with particle filters and filter covers to achieve combined protection against gases, vapors, and particles.

Typical areas of application include painting and spraying, construction and maintenance activities, chemical processes, or cleaning work involving organic solvents. Since this filter only removes gases and vapors, a suitable particle filter is additionally required if particulate exposure is also present.
