The 3M PELTOR X2A headband earmuffs are comfortable, passive hearing protection for professional use in noisy environments such as construction, industry, manufacturing, or assembly. Part of the 3M X-Series, they reduce noise levels by up to approximately 31 dB (SNR), providing effective protection against medium to high noise levels—for example, during machining and grinding work or in road and plant construction.

The hearing protection features a wide, electrically insulated dual headband that reduces heat and pressure buildup on the head while providing dielectric (electrically insulating) properties, making it suitable for workspaces with spark or electrical hazards. The soft, wide sealing rings ensure an efficient acoustic seal and high comfort even during extended use, while the slim cup design ensures good compatibility with other PPE such as safety glasses.
